"The Grand Haven Sandpiper Condominium Association hired Vanderlaan Home Improvement to help with an exterior renovation of 8 buildings with 42 units. This involved removal of old siding, lighting, trim and deck rails. Water damaged and rotted substrate board was cut out and replaced and the buildings were weather wrapped to help insure for the long-term integrity of the structures. Following, new siding, trim, lighting and deck rails were installed. Working with a condominium association (multiple owners) presents unique challenges with both the planning an execution of a project this size. Vanderlaan, specifically Eric Grassmid, was simply outstanding. During planning he was very informative, responsive to questions, respected our processes and was infinitely patient. During project execution he met with us on a weekly basis keeping us informed of progress, answered questions and responded to our concerns. The work crews were thorough, the workmanship was excellent, and workers were respectful of the owners and completed the project within the timeline we jointly established. The project outcome was terrific and owners as well as many community members were very complimentary. We highly recommend Vanderlaan not only for their great workmanship but also for their assistance with planning a complex project the size and scope of our renovation."
